What is Ciity.org?
Ciity.org is a clearinghouse and forum for urban information and ideas. It is independent, not-for-profit, community-moderated, and open to everyone everywhere. Read more about the project…
How does it work?
Find an Existing Point
Then vote or comment on other folks’ ideas for that location, or submit your own! You’ll need to register first – this helps us cut down on harassment and vote rigging. We’ll never share your info with anyone, period.
Suggest a New Point
Double-click or double-tap on the map to suggest a new location be added. We’ll notify you when it’s approved, so you can add ideas to it.
A Few More Tips
- To go to your current location, click the button at the bottom right of the map.
- To filter the map by category, click Pathway, Place, or Thing below the map. Click to show all the icons again.
- To more thoroughly search the points (or their ideas and comments), visit the Points List page. We’re working on better on-the-map search options, but they’re not here just yet.
How do I get involved?
There are many ways to get involved – as a community moderator for your neighborhood, as a web or mobile developer, as a nonprofit expert, as a public official, or in other ways. Learn more here.
Can I donate to the project?
Well, sure! Or, soon. We’re not a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit yet, so your donations won’t be tax deductible until we are. But we’re working on that. In the meantime, please contact us, and we’ll let you know as soon as we’re all squared away with the IRS.
Who are you?
That’s an awfully existential question, but here’s a start.
